A fitness enthusiast for over 25 years, Donna started taking strength training, aerobics and Yoga classes while attending college at San Diego State University. After becoming a full-time mom in 2001, she went to the gym almost daily. The body changes were so significant that in 2004 she decided to get certified as a Group X Instructor and Personal Trainer through AFAA, Aerobics and Fitness Association of America and NASM National Academy of Sports Medicine. Along the way she discovered Pilates through an Instructor training program and decided Pilates was the format for her to teach.
She obtained a mat certification from Body Arts and Science International, under the direction of Rael Isacowitz, and Reformer certification and apparatus training from ABC Pilates, both programs are affiliated with Balanced Body® and Pilates Method Alliance. Further studies include workshops throughout Orange County and Los Angeles in Pilates, Yoga, strength training, Senior Fitness, nutrition, and the Arthritis Foundation. She has been teaching mat Pilates, reformer and other fitness formats for 10 years.
She is thrilled to be a part of Pure Pilates. Over the years Donna has gotten to know many people in Orange County through class instruction. She enjoys seeing the progress that Pilates and movement can do for everyone and Donna strives to make sessions fun, productive and inspiring.
