Marie has been a competitive athlete and coach most of her life. From gymnastics and martial arts, to weight training and various outdoor activities, she enjoys it all. She currently holds a fifth degree black belt in Shotokan karate and has been an instructor in karate and self-defense for over 15 years. She discovered Pilates in 2010 while looking for a competitive edge training for the World Championships, but soon realized it’s mind-body and rehabilitation benefits.
Her passion for Pilates and her love for teaching others has led her to pursue her Pilates teaching certification. She began her training through Balance Body and finished her reformer certification through the talented teachers at Pure Pilates. When not teaching, you’ll find Marie hiking, biking, walking her pup, and spending time in the Word with friends.
