Pure Pilates is where traditional physical therapy and the future of advanced therapy meet. We offer the most innovative and revolutionary forms of rehabilitation in the country today.
Pilates-Based Rehabilitation
The basic Pilates principles don’t simply strengthen and tone the body; they also happen to be an efficient and effective form of rehabilitation. Pilates-based physical therapy uses dynamic spinal stabilization tactics to treat the body as a whole. Our rehabilitation sessions are tailored completely to your individual needs, fitness levels and health challenges. Designed to stretch, strengthen and balance the body, Pilates rehabilitates from the outside in.
Pilates-based physical therapy helps to:
- Improve balance and develop coordination
- Increase energy, endurance and improve circulation
- Enhance posture, body image and body awareness
- Develop long, strong, toned muscles
- Strengthen deep abdominal muscles to support the spinal cord
- Prevent future injuries
- Increase bone density and joint stability
- Alleviate chronic pain
Manual Therapy
Manual therapy is a hands-on approach to treating back pain, fibromyalgia, stiff neck, arthritis and other conditions. Our Pilates-based manual physical therapy eases pain and maximizes rehabilitation potential through:
- Muscle energy techniques
- Joint and nerve mobilization
- Myofascial release
- Neuromuscular re-education
- Soft tissue mobilization
Why Choose Pure Pilates For Your Physical Therapy Needs?
When you choose Pure Pilates for physical therapy, you’re choosing a holistic, organic way to heal your body from the inside out. Our rehabilitation programs follow a multilevel system that uses Pilates principles as well as traditional and manual therapy to maximize rehabilitation and achieve your health goals quickly and effectively.
We give each patient one-on-one, personalized attention in a private, tranquil atmosphere. Our physical therapists are licensed, specializing in orthopedic injuries as well as certified in Pilates and GYROTONIC®. If you’re under a physician’s care, we’ll work with your doctor and provide initial evaluations along with progress notes and reports along the way.
When you work with Pure Pilates, you’ll also receive a take-home exercise program so you can continue your progress on your own. Pure Pilates physical therapy patients are also encouraged to take part in our Pilates groups and classes to maintain their strength and health.
Post-Discharge Patient Programs
We don’t abandon our patients once they’re discharged. At Pure Pilates, we encourage an advanced post-rehabilitation program in order to maintain health and prevent future injury.
Our post-rehab programs offer:
- Increased core strength, speed, agility and balance
- Home postural exercise programs
- Weight management resources
- Cardiovascular and endurance training
- Injury prevention and improved flexibility programs
